This week, retickr celebrates our 1 year anniversary – and what a year it’s been! We want to sincerely thank you for every download, article read, story shared, and feedback email sent. It has been an incredible journey and we truly appreciate everyone who gave retickr a shot.
Therefore, it is with heavy hearts that we want to announce the following: we have begun the process of shutting down our retickr product. You can see some statistics regarding our growth here, which partially explains our decision to put retickr on the bench. To those of you who love retickr, we apologize and encourage you to reach out to us with any feedback, questions, or complaints.
We’ve learned a lot over this past year and we still believe in solving a huge problem. We have a mission of personalized news and we are still full steam ahead toward that goal. The signal to noise ratio of the web is something that keeps us up at night and we believe we have a solution. We began development of a mobile offering a few months back. That offering will be called Fireplug and it has a lot of the same core competencies as retickr. We hope to launch Fireplug later this fall and again we are very sorry for that we could not better service you with retickr.
